STIGMATA
Examples of stigmata that may be based in past-life, emotional connections has been reported by Canadian therapist Heather Carlini. The Reincarnation Experiment solicits data from other therapists who have discovered an association between stigmata or other special body markings with past lives. Heather describes one case as follows:
"Much of my work is in helping clients who have various phobias or
health problems. I am writing a book about the
Non-Conscious Immune System in which the Soul speaks through
symptomology. I follow symptoms back in hypnosis to the causative
event.
In one case I had a lady with asthma so bad that the doctors were
afraid she would die. I took her back in hypnosis to find where this
all began, and she went back in time to two different lifetimes. In
the first one she was observing herself in that lifetime sitting at a
table and being strangled. As she told me what was happening a red
rope mark appeared across her throat. We then went onto the next event
to where she had drowned at age 7 or 8 with a tight scarf around her
neck.
In this lifetime she was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. Once I [helped her understand] all three causative events, the asthma cleared. That was approximately 10 years ago and it hasn’t reoccurred. The funny thing about this story is that when she flew back to California and told her doctor about coming to Canada to see me, he was skeptical… and the rope mark appeared again on her neck before his eyes . He was perplexed and she told him the same thing happened when I worked with her in hypnosis. He was astounded, but is now a believer."

When working with clients I often ask if they have a birthmark and then
I look up what the emotional content is of the location of the
birthmark. These birthmarks are often related to a particular chakra
which has experienced [important] life lessons and traumas. This piece of information often
takes me back to the causative event where I can begin my work.
