WELCOME TO THIS COOPERATIVE PROJECT
The project's purpose is to test a scientific model that accounts for empirical evidence of the apparent inheritance of a "past-life legacy" during the process of human reproduction (as in reincarnation).
This
web site is dedicated to efforts that take a natural science approach
to the evaluation of purported evidence for the little-understood
concept of reincarnation. It reports on the pilot study and ongoing
experiment described in the book The Soul Genome: Science and Reincarnation
by Paul Von Ward. The site also features efforts by other researchers or practitioners who use the scientific method to test the apparent evidence for past-life influences on the psycho-physical traits of the newborn and its further development.
One of those practitioners is Jungian analyst Sabine Lucas, Ph.D., whose work is highlighted in her new book Past Life Dreamwork. Of the Reincarnation Experiment she says this "fascinating pilot study on the “soul genome” is breaking new ground on the way to a science of reincarnation. Walking in the footsteps of the great past-life explorer Ian Stevenson by taking a scientific approach to an unscientific subject, it gets – just like Stevenson – convincing results.
In (Von Ward's) carefully documented case studies he uses a great deal of discernment as wells as a variety of tools ... to test the validity of people’s reincarnation claims and to track down the “soul prints” that shape and form our personalities lifetime after lifetime... For me ... working with past-life dreams, this (project) is a a Godsend... For not only does it validate many of my own findings, but it places this still controversial subject on a more solid, verifiable foundation." The project seeks reports of credible cases from anywhere in the world. The testable research results of other parties are welcome for inclusion in the archives of this project. Collaboration with other researchers using verifiable evidence as proof of reincarnation is an essential aspect of this experiment. This site is evolving as work progresses in confirmation and/or revision of the energetic-pattern and information-rich, biofield concept (known as the psychoplasm or soul genome). The project seeks to test the hypothesis that the psychoplasm is the mechanism for transferring past-life learning and adaptations in individual cases through the zygote's development. Please check in from time-to-time for new material.

Priests, ministers, and preachers attempting to convince parishioners that greed for material wealth is sinful often remind them, "You can't take it with you when you die." While this is true for the goods we accumulate during a lifetime, it is not true about what we do to our body, how much we learn, what skills we refine, how we treat others, and the talents we develop. Empirical research suggests that what the individual accomplishes in terms of self-development and learning becomes the legacy his or her soul genome transmits to the next generation in the process of reproduction. Physical wounds, propensities for physical or psychological traits, level of mental development, emotional patterns, styles of interacting with others, and the foci of creative energies seem to be part of the psychoplasm (an information-rich, energetic field) that enfolds and animates the physical genomic material that shapes the new being. The cases described on this website and in the book The Soul Genome: Science and Reincarnation provide persuasive examples of this phenomenon, which cannot be more plausibly explained than by the reincarnation hypothesis.
